Brand history

PALMARIA is a brand for high-quality beauty products and home accessories based in Mallorca. The company was founded in 2012 by Juan Rosselló from Mallorca and Markus Elter from Cologne. Inspired by Mallorca, PALMARIA allows the cultural and sensual diversity of the Mediterranean island to flow into high-quality products, combines its aromas and colors to create a sensual experience, and combines its cultural heritage and history in a classic, contemporary look.

Corporate philosophy

An important basis of PALMARIA’s business philosophy is to create an authentic reference to the island in the product itself and in the design. On the packaging you can find ornaments from the facades of the venerable Mallorcan palaces and in the logo both a section from a mosaic of La Seuals cathedral and in the waves a reference to the city coat of arms of the capital Palma de Mallorca.

The name PALMARIA goes back to the Romans. They founded the city of Palma de Mallorca and named it Palmariapalmensis (victory palm). The Roman victory symbol of the palm branch can be found in the PALMARIA logo as the wing of the lion.

The relationship to Mallorca has proven to be a defining factor in the product’s image. PALMARIA is not a pure Mallorca souvenir for the target group of tourists. Rather, the history and tradition of the island are implemented in an elegant and contemporary appearance.
